The wood is not a piece of wood, and the iron is not a piece of iron. When an object is not here, it is not from full expression, but from inexpressible; first, Jiang An uses familiar objects in life as visual objects, such as ladders, potted plants, wooden doors, pendants, floor hangers, etc. Compare the explosives of daily necessities. Through the examination of these items, various forms of media, design, means, as well as their own colors, materials, structures, themes, circulation, etc., have been designed and modified to remove certain functional uses of these items, and have changed. The structure of the object itself transforms its form, making the object itself a spiritual component full of sense of existence, while the objects being displayed take the way of invading the space, poetically turning each passing object slowly over each area, gentle Meditation is like a soft and awkward musical instrument that activates the aura of things. This kind of subjective approach is to let these creations carry meaning and convey the output of a visual sense. The creations that were displayed erased the subject of creation, but emphasized the passive nature of the creation. First re-interpret and construct these elements (the state of the object itself, the way of existence of space, the social attributes carried, etc.) to form new creations. It is then done in the state of being displayed. This creative process transforms the structure of the entire series into a generation principle similar to that produced by the theory itself. Jiang An broadly chooses to use the daily life items and the language forms brought by his own creation, and presents them in a centralized way to explore some problems concerning design, transformation, production and display. At the same time, it also provides more information about the implementation of space projects as a database and material created by the artist himself. The fact is that the form itself is not very important, it will become the grammar of the entire work and create a new context. This Jiang's personal project is based on a series of creations created by the artist in 2015. After two years, the artist re-examines and thinks about this batch of works and re-presents it as a small project. By changing the traditional single-on-the-scenes approach, the continuation and reflection of the subject matter of the object is concerned with the visual logic and display relationship between the works.
The sculptures and installations created by Jiang An are visually diverse and sloppy, but the overall form is concise and visually pleasing. Careful observation can gradually reveal that his works have a strong internal logical connection between the structures, and use this as a creation. The purpose of the continuous generation, while the exploration of the visual representation of its own attributes (including its own materials, structure, space) and the material in daily life are constantly related. With continuous practice and exploration, the work is filled with infinite space and possibilities.
